For over 30 years, I worked for Artesian Water Company, most recently as Conservation and Environmental Initiatives Coordinator. My favorite part of this job was visiting elementary schools throughout the state to teach students to conserve water and protect our water resources. I also participated in the annual Christina River Watershed Clean-up, and will continue to do so now that I have retired. My passion for protecting our water resources has not diminished!
I am a member of the Delaware Nature Society’s Watershed Stewardship Committee, and served for 8 years on its Board of Directors. I am also a member of the Delaware Chapter of the American Water Resources Association and serve on the Citizen and Technical Advisory Committee of the State’s Source Water Assessment and Protection Program. Since 1995 I have been actively involved with the Delaware Envirothon, a high school competition in the environmental sciences. For the last 5 years I have accompanied our winning team to the Canon Envirothon, where they compete with the winners of 43 other states and 8 Canadian provinces for scholarships.
I welcome the opportunity to work with the Appoquinimink River Association to promote enjoyment and protection of this beautiful watershed.
