Behavior Change is the Key

Education is the heart of the Appoquinimink River Association -- we strive to make changes and achieve our mission to protect, preserve, and enhance the Appoquinimink Watershed by educating others as to how they can change their behaviors. We attend annual events such as the Middletown Peach Festival, Townsend Day, and Odessa’s Halloween in The Park with our displays and we also look to attend any other similar events in the watershed throughout the year. We make presentations to school students, civic associations, and homeowner associations about the importance of a healthy watershed. We strive to educate through the projects that we choose to participate in or manage in hopes that other individuals can learn how simple it is to help reduce water pollution in the Appoquinimink Watershed. If you are a teacher or member of a group who is interested in having the Appoquinimink River Association do a presentation for you, please let us know!
