Two projects that are important to the Appoquinimink River Association (ARA) in how it achieves its mission of the preservation, protection and enhancement of our local waters are a Watershed Assessment that was managed by the Center for Watershed and an opinion survey conducted by Responsive Management. The Center for Watershed Protection created a plan that assessed the current condition of the Appoquinimink Watershed and made recommendations on how to improve stormwater runoff issues. Also, Responsive Management conducted a phone survey of residents of the ARA on their thoughts, concerns, and beliefs about water pollution related topics. These two publications aid the ARA in determining how we can better serve the watershed and its residents, by their recommendations and from the opinions of the public.
